About Deborah Fencer

Deborah Fencer, M.Ed. ET/PDeborah Fencer, M.Ed. is an Educational Therapist/Professional ET/P as well as licensed speech pathologist and certified professional educator in Massachusetts.  She received her specialized training in educational therapy from Curry College earning the Post-Masters Graduate Certificate in Educational Therapy.  Deborah has many years of experience working with a broad range of learning challenges in children, adolescents and adults.

Deborah has the expertise to address learning challenges with both a remedial and therapeutic response to help clients achieve their learning goals. Deborah has extensive experience in all areas of speech/language function, including the auditory/phonological processing deficits of speech and reading disorders, commonly known as dyslexia, as well as developing writing skills.  In addition, she is particularly attuned to the learning struggles accompanying a diagnosis of ADD/ADHD, Nonverbal Learning Disability (NLD) or Asperger's Disorder.  She offers coaching for all ages to maximize their academic, personal and/or professional potential.

Deborah is Clinical Director of The Educational Therapists of New England, a group that aims to match potential clients with educational therapists in the region taking into account location and specialties. 

She is Editor of the Educational Therapist, the journal of the Association of Educational Therapists.
